highlight on fleek

1. before foundation, apply M.A.C.’s “strobe cream” with your fingers over the perimeter of your face. this acts as an illuminating moisturizer–not to be confused as a primer so please don’t skip that step

2. after you’ve finished your face makeup (foundation, concealer, powder), apply three dots of becca’s “shimmering skin perfector spotlight” in opal to your cheek bones. this will give a subtle inner glow to your face. i recommend blending this in with a beauty blender–be sure to use tapping motions.

[go ahead and finish up your bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, etc because the last step listed should be the very last thing you do in your makeup routine, minus using a setting spray.]

3. time for the star of the show! to achieve that “i can see you from space” glow, you’ll want to pick up benefit’s “high beam” liquid highlighter. take the brush and dab a small amount of product onto the back of your hand. using a dual fiber brush (a beauty blender works, too!), tap it into the product but be careful not to over load the brush. apply it to the tops of your cheek bones, the “c-shape” around your eyebrows, your forehead, and down the bridge of your nose. the trick here is to use a light hand, and dab the brush in circular motions until the highlighter is blended into your skin.

ps. i love using the dual fiber brush because the brush hairs allow less product to be picked up at once and it helps create that airbrushed, flawless finish!
